The Russian Revolution and subsequent murder of the Tsar and his family who were kin to the British Royals, scared the crap out of the British leaders.
That was why the first gun control act was passed.
But, as in every other country, those that pass these gun control acts make certain that they themselves are surrounded by armed bodyguards.
