Maybe so, but I just saw where women out-strip men 58% to 42% in getting a college education, so I have to ask in what disciplines are they receiving degrees?
Ethnic studies, feminism, underwater basket weaving? Our “institutions of higher learning” evidently are failing in their mission to deliver women to the scientific workplace. But in concert with this, “women” continue to complain about this nostrum of unequal pay and/or being kept out of the board room. An MBA doesn’t get you a CEO job in the Silicon Valley, because you have to understand the underlying technology in your company’s products at the minimum.

I can still remember a conversation between my friend, who had just graduated with a BS in Materials Engineering, and a woman who had just graduated with an MA in sociology, or something similar.

She was shocked --shocked!-- that he was earning more than she was.

I was shocked.

That is why the liberal/socialists want more immigrants. Screw Mexico and other third world nations. I'm all for more Asians who study engineering, work towards MBA's, and contribute. I'm all good with persons from India, Japan, Taiwan, and some others. They know better than to waste their time on such BS as you state above.

The wage differential that exists for women is almost totally explained by research done decades ago, but the MSM doesn’t want to read it because they want to perpetuate the myth. You can read work by Herb Parnes, Belton Fliesher, and others that shows market forces work against women (e.g., looser attachment to the labor force because of child rearing, picking fields that are already crowded with women (education), etc.). In some cases (Western Electric’s old phone assembly plant), however, women were paid more than men.

And you have to be willing to devote yourself body and soul to your career, which most women are not, not to the degree which the most successful men do, and have done historically.
