Did the US not entertain the same expectation in Afghanistan where, in a number of instances, US instructors were gunned down from the back by their students?
Training muslims to fight other muslims does not go without risk. One never knows where their allegiance lies — often definitely not with the infidel instructor.
I remember seeing Hillary saying to an interviewer “oh ISIS is no threat to the US”,
and she said it very derisively...as if to say - what a ridiculous question.
