It is incidents like this that illustrate the wisdom of God. The civic remedy for homosexuality is public execution, but too many squeamish Christians and Jews are embarrassed by the wisdom of God in ordering and ruling a society. (Adultery was also in most circumstances a civic crime punishable with death.) Homosexuality is not more a sin than fornication or pride, it is just more destructive to a society. A sustainable society cannot embrace homosexuality due to its lethal effect on the family. Fornication also has a noxious effect on society, albeit a slower destruction, which could be stopped with Biblical remedies. Morality is a national self preservation issue, but a nation that has cast off the God who is Himself righteous has no claim to a morality other than autonomy, which is in and of itself immoral according to God.
