I’d like to see Early Voting in all states be limited to 3 business days before Election Day. We have Absentee Voting for people who have circumstances that prevent them from being near their voting precinct on Election Day. EARLY VOTING BENEFITS THE LIBS/DEMS who are usually too lazy or disinterested to vote unless it’s convenient. Here in SE Texas, the Dems have voting stations in Convenience Stores in the hood.

Back in the “olden days”, everybody voted on the same day. Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and voting was held in almost every school. It just never was a problem. Only ones who complained were the town drunks because you couldn’t buy alcohol while the polls were open.

Everyone I knew back then always voted in person. Now we have more days to vote and more ways to vote but seems to me like most people don’t take advantage of any of them.

Early voting is a gilt invitation to fraud.

I’m with you.

There’s some tough love in your post and I have no problem with that.

Why do judges decide they can make law??

Because those with the power to stop them, don’t.

Watch for a federal court step in some time today and stay the decision.

They sent me my application for absentee ballot, so I sent it in. There were controls on it, but I suppose that what the republicans were hoping to accomplish by a mailing to everyone is to cut the knees of the democrats off by ensuring that all repub voters had a chance to counter the democrat shenanigans.

What we don’t have is operatives in the nursing homes collecting all those ballots and filling them out for their aged and deceased voters.

Well, you are right about that, my FRiend!

I've always voted in person, on election day. Never had a reason not to (like you used to have to have an "excuse" for voting absentee)...but I can see how the universal absentee ballot would be an advantage for elderly people, etc., especially in NE Ohio, in November, and in more rural counties.

I can also see very clearly how the "Souls to the Polls" early voting drives, and the solicitous (sic) nursing home operatives can manipulate elections.

I'm just going to do what I can do, and watch out for the ones I know!

I’d go one step further and make certain public employees are at work on election day. They form an electioneering army on election day in Illinois. They get paid and get an extra day off.
