Hearing regarding Sgt. Tahmooressi who has been held for 6 months in a Mexican prison for a wrong turn into Mexico.
AND....Obama would give them a new supply of guns and their first drone.
Sgt. Tahmooressi is one of many reasons for the House to declare war on Mexico. Friendly nation south of the border my butt!
CEO of Veterans group was scorching in his criticism of Obama.
Paraphrasing he said it was outrageous that there was a Rose Garden ceremony for one who deserted their team (Bergdahl) but the president can’t pick up his pen and phone to call the President of Mexico to ask for Tahmooressi’s release.

That there is a hearing on this in the first place is an embarassment. Me, I would have threatened to deport 500 felons back to Mexico via 2 F-16 escorted 747’s in one week if he wasn’t released. Like they shouldn’t be headed that way anyway.

Hugs to Anthony’s mom and the Marines who served with Tahmooressi with prayers for his health and that most deserved call from the wielder of pen and phone to the President of Mexico.
It is election season now, so I'm sure much of this is being arranged as we speak. My guess is that he'll be released in about 2 more weeks, and Obama will take full credit.
If so Tamorese(sp) needs to rightfully decline any meeting the POS/POTUSwill try to arrange
ONE phone call from the President or a high level Administration rep, immediately, after the Sgt was imprisoned should have got him out! Responded to requests for $$ from Republicans with ‘when you get our Marine out of the Mexican prison, I’ll consider donating’. Also, called my Rep Congressman to ask what he has DONE to free the Sgt?
I would have parked the Bush battle group off the coast and told them the count down to H hour is beginning at sixty minutes and they don’t want to find out what happens shortly after zero is reached.
Did you watch it? I surfed past it and got in on the last 15 minutes or so, but I was in the kitchen and couldn’t see the TV so I had no idea who the various voices belonged to. Were any Dems on the congressional panel? If so, what was their level of outrage?
At CSpan they have who was on. Montel was awesome and so was the other Marine. The dem was from Hawaii, I think, and was as concerned as the repubs.
If you can watch it, it is worth the 2 hours. Better than any movie or tv show IMHO, but I’m a Marine mom.
The guy from Concerned Veterans for America was great, too. Must have been awful for mom. Can’t imagine getting that call. We are truly not given more than we can handle.
Ah, I was reading another thread source with a pic of the top of the executive branch laughing and doing the knuckle thing on a golf course when I remembered that one representative asked the mother of Tahmooressi if she played golf? There is a very nice golf course a couple of blocks from where the mom works and it was suggested she put out an invite. They had been explicit in the comparison of the treatment of the Bergdahl family and the Tahmoressi family.
