The wisdom of Jeb says Mr. Duncan came to Dallas because of Love. He dropped off a load of Ebola in Dallas because he loves everyone and this country so much. He offloaded it knowing he had come in close contact and been directly exposed to the virus. Jeb, take this down. If this is love to you, we do not need any more. We need men who understand the times and know what should be done. This cultural milieu is not a paper-back romance novel. It is life and death. We cannot afford your Love indulgences. We need wisdom to guide the country....and you seem to be fresh out.

skeptoid, when a Freeper post an article his/her post is number one. Freepers read the article and usually click on number one post to reply or respond to that article and not the poster.. By default it list the posters user name who posted the thread unless the posting Freeper changes the To: another user name designation. IOW if you post an article on Bush you will get some rather strong remarks but they are meant for Bush not you. Trying to post to Jeb Bush as the user IIRC would simply get the poster a no such poster reply instead of their post going through.

The Al-Anon reference was a jab at the drug problem in his family. Couldn’t help myself. Won’t do it again.

But I stand by my jab at his wife. Smuggling tens of thousands of dollars of designer clothes into the country shows what kind of person she is.

June 22, 1999

TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Jeb Bush said Monday that his wife misled U.S. Customs officials about $19,000 in new clothing and jewelry she brought into the country because she didn’t want him to know how much she had spent on her five-day Paris shopping trip.

Forced to explain his wife’s actions at the Atlanta airport Thursday, Bush said Monday that the episode had disrupted their family life. His wife, Bush said, feels “horrible about this.”

“It was a difficult weekend at our house,” Bush said.

On Friday, the Bushes disclosed that Columba Bush had paid a $4,100 fine and was briefly detained by Customs agents for failing to declare merchandise when she arrived at Hartsfield International Airport. With that, the low profile enjoyed by the governor’s quiet wife ended. “Shop ‘til you drop,” read a headline Saturday in the Bush’s new hometown paper, the Tallahassee Democrat.
