Sen. Lindsey Graham is also now considering a run for the White House.
The South Carolina Republican, up for re-election next month, told the Weekly Standard he might make a bid in 2016 if he feels like no one represents his views on foreign policy.
Graham also criticized Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a potential presidential candidate, saying he is not quite ready to become president.
If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobodys out there talking me and McCain have been talking I may just jump in to get to make these arguments, Graham said.
Sen. John McCain, the Arizona Republican who ran for president in 2008, backs Graham.
Ive strongly encouraged him to give it a look. I think Lindsey has vast and deep experience on these issues that very few others have, McCain said.
Graham is leading his Democratic challenger Brad Hutto in South Carolina by nearly 16 points, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
PS: If by some MIRACLE that he did get the nomination, I’d just stay the hell home on election day for the first time ever.
Having to use a vote on Romney in order to oppose 0-Tard was bad enough. Grahamnesty would be just TOO much!!!
...he might make a bid in 2016...

Ok, so what he’s saying is he will QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS TERM as Senator of South Carolina to run for president?
I seem to remember a Governor from Alaska who has been trashed for years over the same thing.
So, yeah, run princess run.
Let's get Lindsay Graham to run, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and at least one other Establishment moderate.
Then let's make sure Kentucky does not change its election rules so that Rand Paul can run for both Senator and President. Let's encourage Rand to give us one Presidential election cycle off from having a Paul on the ticket.
Meanwhile, let's all coalesce around Ted Cruz and BEG the Conservative vote-splitters not to run this time. Let's stop the Ben Carson/Rick Santorum/Herman Cain/Michelle Bachmann/Local Congressman nonsense before it gets started, for a change. No more one-in-a-billion shot candidates.
Cruz can win, and he will win if we coalesce around him and have several Establishment candidates running against each other.
Senator Graham as president? We already have a gay president.
In what alternative universe is this possible or desirable?
This scheme needs to be viewed in the context of the GOPe thwarting a potential grass roots conservative nominee.
Graham’s entrance might fool naive conservative voters, thus splitting the conservative vote. Graham will start talking conservative values, bamboozling some of the rubes who will vote for him. And when Huckster enters the race, its all over for a Cruz-like conservative.
The GOPe is gearing up to pull the same old stunt of knee-capping the true conservative in the race, setting the stage for Jeb Bush.
I’ll triple your barf and up you chunky industrial-strength puke!
Fr would be loaded with it’s usual “conservative” apologist throwing hissy fits because we dare to diss their Party and its sacred nominee.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. You put lipstick on Lindsey and you still have a girl.
Encourage him, it will split the RINO vote.
It does sound like a joke, but then again, so does the prospect of having Jeb Bush as the GOP nominee. The RNC and Karl Rove's Super PAC is probably behind this - if they can't shove Jeb down our throats or get Romney to run again to carry the establishment standard, they can always try recruiting Miss Graham.
Franklin Graham would be the way to go.
Graham might win on the democratic ticket.
But as a RINO who depends heavy on South Carolina’s Democrats to win in republican primaries he hasn’t got a prayer nationally where Democrats actually vote for democrats in their primary & general election.
I hope he does and helps dilute the RINO vote.
GOPe could get it’s first femalish president.
I wonder if Trey Dreamer Gowdy will donate 1000 to Graham. Im sure Mick Menendez(SC-05) already has.
