Does any one object?

I don’t.

The Obama administration has quietly dumped quarantine rules that would have required air passengers to submit more information to airlines and strengthened the government's authority to detain travelers suspected of carrying disease.

==============================================

Early American Quarantines
When the United States was first established, little was done to prevent the importation of infectious diseases. Protection against imported diseases fell under local and state jurisdiction. Individual municipalities enacted a variety of quarantine regulations for arriving vessels.
State and local governments made sporadic attempts to impose quarantine requirements. Continued outbreaks of yellow fever finally prompted Congress to pass federal quarantine legislation in 1878. This legislation, while not conflicting with states' rights, paved the way for federal involvement in quarantine activities.

==============================================

Public Health Service Act
The Public Health Service Act of 1944 clearly established the federal government's quarantine authority for the first time. The act gave the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) responsibility for preventing the introduction, transmission, and spread of communicable diseases from foreign countries into the United States.

I sure don't object!
I think that quarantines are ABSOLUTELY necessary. They have been around for a LONG time, even in our country. They will, no doubt, happen again, especially with our HUGE trade and tourist industries.

No use blaming a faith. I'm surprised that there aren't MORE of them, considering the 3rd world pit-holes we deal with and travel to.

My husband, mother and I even visited the Kenyan game parks 30+ years ago. We had to take a few shots but NOTHING compared to the shots we had to take to LIVE in Saudi Arabia (ARAMCO). Back then we had to take a malaria shot and we even need a POLIO booster. My husband and I were PIN CUSHIONS!

I HATE shots. Hate'em. Hate'em. Hate'em. Hate'em. I would have been a pathetic junkie. :o)

Nothing new here.

Works for me.

And as far as the guy in Dallas; If he dies, fine. If he lives we need to ship him back to Liberia ASAP to face their charges against him.

Not I. He came from a Elbola ravaged country and she exposed her family. Idiot. Sorry but I just can’t worry about her and her wants, needs, right now. Those of us who live here are worried about our INNOCENT families. Her boyfriend didn’t care about her or her family. Why would she let ANYONE in her home from Liberia? Why isn’t she mad at HIM, FGS?
