Early American Quarantines

The act gave the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) responsibility for preventing the introduction, transmission, and spread of communicable diseases from foreign countries into the United States.

I think that quarantines are ABSOLUTELY necessary. They have been around for a LONG time, even in our country. They will, no doubt, happen again, especially with our HUGE trade and tourist industries.
No use blaming a faith. I'm surprised that there aren't MORE of them, considering the 3rd world pit-holes we deal with and travel to.
My husband, mother and I even visited the Kenyan game parks 30+ years ago. We had to take a few shots but NOTHING compared to the shots we had to take to LIVE in Saudi Arabia (ARAMCO). Back then we had to take a malaria shot and we even need a POLIO booster. My husband and I were PIN CUSHIONS!
I HATE shots. Hate'em. Hate'em. Hate'em. Hate'em. I would have been a pathetic junkie. :o)
