The headline is deceiving. It was aimed at the avian flu which was the concern at the time, but they threw in a bunch of other things including a general viral reference which could include Ebola.
I remember this at the time. Conservatives were up in arms that this was another unconstitutional power grab, and that the avian flu fear was bologna. You cant have it both ways people!
This was indeed an unnecessary power. The Surgeon general already has the right to stop flights with the Presidents approval.
Please note that one of the most important questions, isn't even being asked: of what religion is this patient zero?! What religion is the DC patient, the one in Hawaii...? Are they or aren't they pieceful?
The lying and deception of patient zero, point to someone on a mission; a mission to deliver something to as many USAians as possible before succumbing to the illness and being laid low.
