Does anyone else wonder whether a precious grandchild might wake these two up? I do not hold out hope for that, but sometimes people actually smell the roses when they have something of their own to remind them of their mortality and that someone is going on beyond them to experiences the consequences of what they left behind. It is not unusual for people to change with the addition of a grandchild.

The mayors will craft a plan that can be used to help prevent situations like the one in Ferguson and present it to the Justice Department. Ferguson has been the scene of protests since an unarmed black 18-year-old was killed by a white officer in early August.

Start by stopping the bullshit. Holder, et al. want honest race relations talk. Here's some. But nooooooo.. now just another reason that I am a racist.

This is my suggestion. Stop the outrageous Obama-Holder demagoguery and the self-serving claims of the lucrative race-grievance industry. They are repeating decades-old crap.

Claims that include that all young African-Americans are Trayvons in the sense that they are stalked and too often killed by whites all across America. Claims that all African-Americans are regularly subject to being gunned down by police. Claims that African-American females are frequent targets of white men.

There are federal government official data out there that even the Obama-Holder Dept. of Just Us and Our People have not suppressed.

There are arrest-related deaths data (Arrest-Related Deaths, 2003-2009 - Statistical Tables) that show a larger number of whites die of "police homicide" than blacks. In this case it's 1,233 white and 937 black (Table 5).
There are data about the numbers of arrests (see FBI Table 43A 2012) if you want to talk about rates. In this case it's 6,502,919 white and 2,640,067 black. Given that whites outnumber blacks at least 6-to-1 that's a lot of black arrests.. yes, I know police arrests blacks randomly. But wait..
There are data that report on involuntary contact with police among persons age 16 or older, by demographic characteristics and type of contact, see Police Behavior during Traffic and Street Stops, 2011. These data are based upon a survey. Blacks were least likely to accept the "involuntary contact with police" as proper behavior by the police.. but the survey estimates contain a caution about those figures; to wit, "Estimate based on 10 or fewer sample cases or the coefficient of variation is greater than 50%."
That segues nicely to the most controversial and sensitive issue of sexual assaults;
- the DoJ National Criminal Victimization Survey Table 42
  - shows that interracial sexual assaults black-on-white continue in the thousands
  - while there are several years when there were zero white-on-black sexual assaults;
- some misinterpreted those years as actual data, no they were estimates with the same caution "Estimate based on 10 or fewer sample cases or the coefficient of variation is greater than 50%."
- apparently in 2009 the Obama-Holder Dept of Just Us deleted Table 42 showing all types of interracial crimes.. a little too honest race talk!

The FBI, I think that homicides is the only exception, does not publish interracial crime data; however they have a new system called National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).

I'll put on a PC hat and start blaming whites.

I discovered a startling fact that lazy white Americans are not doing their crime jobs! Below I have done a little math to show how woefully whites have failed and black Americans may have tried to help out.

NOTE: No where am I suggesting that the FBI connects victim and offender by race. That is my doing below.. and it is necessarily only a guess.

For whites the two aforementioned NIBRS tables show that white victims, crime category by crime category, outnumber by wide margins white offenders. The count of white victims is much greater than the count of white offenders.

Just the opposite for blacks.

I developed the data below using the NIBRS data. The data are NOT provided by the FBI. I computed the differences.. actually I instructed my old Excel '97 to do it.

Difference between Number of white victims vs. number of white offenders	-- a negative number means whites have surplus offenders; that means there were more offenders than victims and whites are doing their share. Sadly that's only in four crime categories.

And the NIBRS tables show "Unknown Race" had 5,759 offenders in that crime category (Sex Offenses, Forcible).

Not necessarily connected to unknown offenders there were 3,398 "Unknown Race" victims

This kinda sorta suggests that maybe that DoJ National Criminal Victimization Survey now-omitted Table 42 data wasn't off by very much. IMO. See links above.
