Miami Dolphin’s Derrick Shelby arrested in Fort Lauderdale

Miami authorities arrested Dolphin’s defensive end Derrick Shelby Saturday morning after an altercation in a Fort Lauderdale nightclub.
Shelby’s face is bruised and bloody in a booking mugshot released of the NFL player. According to a Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman, Shelby was causing a disturbance at Off the Hookah, a nightclub located at 111 Southwest 2nd Avenue. The incident occurred around 2 A.M. on Oct. 4.

Yes, he looks like he got his azz kicked. This is what people look like after even a minor fist fight.
One of the non-realistic aspects of cinema is that if movie fights occurred as usually depicted the participants would be unrecognizable and unable to speak with their broken jaws wired shut in the very next scene. "Chinatown" and the painful-to-watch nose slitting scene and aftermath were exceptions, but think back on movies like "The Quiet Man" where Wayne and McLaglen pound each other bare fisted for about twenty minutes straight.
