If voters don’t turn things around this November that will be confirmation that the Fundamental Transformation has taken place.
If that happens, the only thing that can reverse our decline is a major SHTF disaster of some sort.

Warren Jeffs was the past President of the "Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" - an American polygamous cult. Jeffs' structured the cult so he and his top men would have easy sexual access to submissive women and their children. Jeffs was convicted on several counts of child sexual assault and the cult ended.
People in the ME weren't as lucky. They didn't have an FBI to put a stop to it.
Latter Day Saints type cults had the same 'excess men' problem that Mohammad had... Middle-aged men cults don't want young viral men in the group. Jeffs exiled young men in their teens - dumped them after contrived disagreements. In the United States that wasn't big a problem (well for the young man it's traumatic to be forced out away from family) but for the society it wasn't a problem. The men are eventually absorbed by the larger culture)
Mohammod's solution to the 'excess men" problem caused by his polygamous religion was violence. He wanted the young men out of the camp like Jeffs did - but he also wanted them dead. ( When ONE Muslim man can have four wives - three men in that culture will never have a wife, lover, or family. ) There were two problems Mohammod had to solve. First was how to keep the mothers from objecting to their sons being 'cast to the wolves'... (the solution: The ONLY way a woman can be guaranteed entry into paradise is to always obey her husband. Submission. Total submission. There are other ways a Muslim woman can be accepted but submission's the only sure bet.
For men especially the 'useless excess men' there's one sure way to get to paradise - AND to have great sex for eternity - and that's to die a martyr. To be killed off... And to be killed off in service to the men who have the four wives and children and family and a life... To die for the 'middle aged men who run the cult. Again, the 'excess sexually useless' men were encouraged to wage war and steal the women of their enemies. Incentives that reach deep into the parts of our souls where the longing lives..... Jeffs' was JV...
So the religion will always be creating wars. And history shows that's true.
Your example of the Hindu Kush ( translation: Hindu Killer)- the "seventy-five thousand square miles between Afghanistan and Pakistan" where 60 million Hindus were slaughtered over a thousand years was part of that incentive system. Western cultures could become part of that slaughter system if they don't take the time to understand Islamic motivations. That said, there are positive things about Muslim cultures. Things we could borrow and incorporate into our own cultures. Things we'll have to incorporate if our society ever goes totalitarian. Cool survival stuff that make families close and strong. The American way - then it works - is to take the best from other cultures and incorporate them into our own - and dump the bad stuff.

This is how 59 precincts in Philadelphia had not one vote for any candidate other than Obama in 2012. This is statistically improbable when it occurs repeatedly in swings states
This strategy has won two elections for Obama and will take 2016 for Hillary. The left is not about free and fair elections, it is about winning.
And where is the national GOP on this? They have their hands tied by federal lawsuits and can't complain about voter fraud in minority districts.
There are no more free and and fair elections - only stolen ones. You can't say the Republicans lost the election and so have to change their policies to keep up with the new electorate - there is no new electorate - only propaganda swallowed by ignorant republican voters.
