Speaking of snakes...when I was a kid, my dad let me have virtually ANY pet I wanted...(several rescues). I brought in a garter snake and dad built me a little terrarium for it and everything...my mom damn near had a stroke! She got me back several weeks later when she said that the “Little guys eyes had clouded over, and that means it is very sick, and it was going to die, so I had your dad put it out of its misery” (Yeah right, mother! It was getting ready to shed its skin, they ALL get cloudy eyes then!). I had to give her credit though...she got her wish and got rid of the snake!
