Authorities recently dismantled an ISIS-inspired plot to carry out a "knife and gun" attack at a Canadian shopping mall, NBC News reports.
Anonymous intelligence officials told the American news network that a group of people walked through a Canadian mall to scope out its exists and plan an attack that would see them mowing down people on crowded escalators until police showed up.

In other words, they were planning mass decapitations. This is so much coming soon.
Canada probably thinks they just need a hug.
.
Canada Ping!
Gotta love those gun-free zones. /s
Yep!
Report: FOUR TERRORISTS ARRESTED ON US BORDER– In Texas in Last 36 Hours!
And, unfortunately, something of this sort will probably succeed at some point.
Canada is huge. Would be nice to know what city this was planned for (and how close to the US border).
Toronto, I would imagine.
I will try to scout around on Twitter and see if I can find out where in Canada.
I still cannot find the exact location in Canada:
Well, those Ayrabs would probably be inhibited about attacking the West Edmonton Mall or anything in Alberta. Maybe Toronto? Hard to tell. There are many malls in Canadia.
Now would be a good time to review HBO’s “Terror at the Mall.”
It’s a docu-fillintheblank about the Westgate Mall attack in Kenya.
Lots to reflect on while watching it....
So, they stopped some guys, somewhere, doing some thing. But we do not know whom, where, or what.
Yup, I am shaking in my boots. Let’s raise the warning lights to blinking purple.
Likely Toronto, maybe Montreal. It would be nice to know.
I would guess Toronto. There is a really big mall there that I have been to once, but don’t remember the name. It was big and busy. It would be an easy target. No concealed carry = soft target. I would not go there today. Some malls around where I live are identified as no carry on the web, but they have no signs on the doors. I carry there to pick up the spousal unit because it is a soft target.
“Aspirational stage”. I guess they hadn’t picked a city yet. There’s still time. It’s Canada - a little slap on the wrist and they’ll be back to the drawing board.
Thanks for looking. It’ll come out eventually.
I don't think it matters much. If you're in Canada you should assume it was nearby.
There's more than one "really big" mall in Toronto, but if you were downtown I expect you mean the Eaton Centre, which was my first guess as well.
