It is NOT a standard statement of mourning in French. The French mourn the way all us other Westerners mourn.

NO DOUBT it's the work of some VERY bored, teenage, male mind...and it means NOTHING of import to the rest of the human race.

Given the nature of the website and the profile of the people who would be likely to post there, I doubt it was some bored teenager.

She was in her mid-50s when she passed, and was a very accomplished internationally renowned award-winning classical musician. She was also head of the music department at a well-known Boston area university.

The hundreds of people who post at this website were family, friends, professional colleagues and students.
