New Yorkers, they showed up and immediately requested tax increases so they would feel at home and have all the good things the poorer Pennsylvania residents can provide.
Marylanders do the same thing here in south-central Pennsylvania. They also turn normally conservative areas into bastions of liberalism.
BTW: my school and property tax burden is about one third of my monthly mortgage payment, about $350 a month.

In Westchester County, NY, the average property tax bill is $12,000 a year. For a town with one of the top schools, that bill is more than $20,000 a year. $350 a month is a home run.
