One persons car crash today, does not cause ten car crashes tomorrow. Those ten car crashes tomorrow, had they occurred, would not cause 100 car crashes the next day, etc., etc., etc.
Now do you see the faultiness of your logic? Every epidemic started out with patient zero, including AIDS. How did AIDS turn out?
I understand that aspect of it, but the truth is that the numbers, when compared to the total world population size, are still not that high.
