Going out for ice cream is not off the table, girls.
He’s an MD, M.P.H.
You need to see the questioning from Steve Scalise, which about caused Frieden to have a panic attack. He absolutely refused to answer when asked numerous times and numerous ways if he had discussions with the WH regarding a travel ban and his reaction was visceral. There is a video available but I can’t post it.
Before imposing the travel ban to and from W. Africa, they want to make sure that America doesn’t appear racist.
That’s the LA congressman I was referring to. He was by far the best interrogator this afternoon. Thanks for posting his name. Frieden was clearly trying to run out the clock rather than simply answer Yes or No.
Not the military’s job. It should be done by humanitarian and relief orgs. The military has already been gutted, stretched thin and neutered. Aggressive, patriotic officers and NCOs have already been driven out with their slots filled by sodomites, mentally ill “transgendered” and politically correct yes people.
To me it seems like a travel ban is just an extension of the quarantine principle. Why is that so hard to understand? They restrict the movements of people here who have been exposed to ebola. Why not restrict the movement of people there? It has grown there beyond the possibility of relying on voluntary quarantine. And self-preservation motive pushes foreigners to lie. In one sense you can feel sorry for them. But what about all the people they put at risk? Better to contain and defeat the virus there than to put the rest of the world at risk by leaving the most affected country unquarantined.
Thanks much Textide! If anyone has any doubt who is really running the Ebola show, they need to watch this video.
Then stop pussyfooting around and get on with it.
Might be a misleading headline. I didn’t get to hear all of the hearing today, but I did hear the questioning related to a travel ban from these countries.
The head of the CDC confirmed that he discussed it with the White House, and indicated that the CDC was willing to do whatever was necessary to protect Americans. However he ducked the question of whether the White House was going to it or not.
“I can’t speak for the White House was repeated numerous times.
After seeing Friedtart spinning answers there you have to wonder when he gets thrown under the bus. If he is thrown under the bus will he turn on the administration or take one for the team with his resignation. I don’t see him coming out of this at all still with a job at the CDC.
Intelligence doesn’t preclude mental illness. Smart and crazy are all too often companions.
Thank-you for this...I am without a TV this week....and appreciate the link!
