House Republican leaders are maneuvering behind the scenes to shore up Kansas Republican Rep. Lynn Jenkins, who is suddenly battling for her political life in her Topeka-area district.
Senior members of the leadership have called rank-and-file lawmakers, asking them to cut Jenkins a check after internal polling showed the race tightening, with multiple sources saying the contest is within single digits.
Jenkins got attacked in a 2013 town hall over immigration. The crowd heckled one of the open borders pastors.

There's some interesting blog posts out there claiming then GOP chair Kobach was underminging Jenkins when he was not to be involved. Sounded like BS. Someone rhetorically asked was Jenkins' smile going to solve the illegal immigration issue where Boyda and Ryun failed.
Ryun works for Madison Project PAC which is similar to Senate Conservatives.

U.S. Rep Lynn Jenkins, who serves the 2nd District that covers Topeka, said she was anxious to see what the Senate group developed. She said a majority of Americans would endorse legislation to expand security and remove illegal immigrants from the shadows to learn the language and pay back taxes. Nobody is talking about all-out amnesty, she said. Nobody is going to reward people for breaking the law.
Nope, nope nope nope. Remove them from the country. How about that?

She sound like another pro-amnesty (”...but let’s not call it amnesty...”) types who would not be missed, IMHO, from the Republican caucus in the US House of Representatives. She can then go on to get a job with the Chamber of Commerce or another special interest.
IMO, Lynn Jenkins is exactly the type of RINO that Congress doesn’t need. Fortunately, in redistricting, I got a good representative in Tim Huelskamp and don’t have to hold my nose and vote for Jenkins.
Jenkin's lives in fantasy land. Learn the language, these people are illiterate in their own language. Allowing people to stay after breaking our laws, is a reward numnuts.
