Doctors "Hit Breaking-Point" As Ebola Death Toll Tops 4500
Zero Hedge ^ | 10/20/2014 | Tyler Durden

The WHO is coming under increasing scrutiny over its response to the the deadly epidemic. As The BBC reports, after stating that the death toll has hit 4,555 worldwide, a leaked internal document shows "nearly everyone involved in the outbreak response failed to see some fairly plain writing on the wall." There are a few tidbits of good news this weekend: the Spanish patient's test returned negative, 48 "at-risk" people in Dallas have been cleared, and Nigeria has been declared "ebola-free"

4500 is nothing. Seal off the borders and let the die-off begin.

Wait until it hits 450,000. Then watch.

Enjoy Barack Obama Legacy America

Never before has a nation, as a nation, promoted sodomy and sexual immorality like this country has. It is official policy at home and abroad. The Bible says that homosexuals will be punished in their bodies. Those who are responsible for promoting may well share that fate. The American people are responsible for what their government does. At least those who don't speak up.

My theory is that we are looking in the wrong direction to stop this thing.

We are concerned about closing our borders to West Africans. I agree with that. But that will protect us for only a little while.

My concern is that we need to contain this from moving EAST, not West. If this virus spreads across Africa and makes its way to India, we are in big trouble.

India would be a perfect place for this virus to land. Sanitation and conditions in the huge cities are horrible and the contagion would run through that environment, killing those left over from the dengue fever epidemic.

Travel to and from India is many times larger than that in Africa. And it goes everywhere.

From India, it is a hop, skip, and a jump from China. Once in China, their markets will collapse. Who is going to want an Ebola-phone, tablet, computer, or Ebola clothes.

Yes, sealing our borders is fine. Its not going to do a thing until we stop this in Africa. THIS is our issue.

The issue is that at 10,000 cases and 4500 deaths, the systems are overwhelmed. This means that they will not be able to contain it much longer.

This is why the WHO suggested many thousands more cases coming every week.

It is not an issue of the numbers not being huge (dengue fever has killed more than twice that much in India in the past few months). It is an issue of control.

WHO and CDC leadership has ALWAYS been a bunch of overpaid, unnecessarily political and overestimated smart a&# Liberal puppets whose ‘smarter than everyone else’ attitude gags me.

More of the Liberal culture of incompetence.... Too smart to fail.

Really!

Harvard gets it!

MSF doctors are at their breaking point: "The epidemic is still getting worse... I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel."

Lastly, Harvard has imposed a travel ban from Ebola-affected nations.

What undoubaably helps spread this disease is that when a person is near death or actually dies the virus is at a maximum transmitting stage
There are a lot of Musims in these countries and the Muslim burial procedure is tailor made to spread this disease. - Tom

From E How --Body Washing
The body is to be washed by a member of the same sex, except if the deceased is a child or spouse. The body is placed on a table with all garments removed, with the private parts covered.
The stomach is then firmly pressed to help release any loose bodily excretions, which are then cleaned away with a cloth. The body is washed with clean, warm water using either the hands or a clean cloth. Washing must be done three, five or seven times--always an odd number, with water and soap. Scented water can be used for the final washing.
The right side is washed while the body is placed on its left side and vice versa
The hair is washed and combed, with a male's hair left unbraided and a female's gathered into two braids with loose hair at the ends.
At this point, the Islamic ritual of Wudu (ablution) is performed. Perfumed cotton is used to cover the front and rear openings of the body.

---------------------------------------- The stomach is firmly pressed to make sure you get at least a billion virus particles all over everyone in the room, which are spread with a cloth. There, fixed it for you.

If there was ever any doubt as to what the dominate species is on this planet and possibly the entire universe, the Ebola Virus just provided the answer. Viruses only keep us around as hosts to feed on, and they are always careful not to kill us all.

(After reading the "stomach pressing") So basically the body is transformed into a huge zit, potentially spraying hot Ebola virus onto everyone in the immediate vicinity.

No, thank you.

And the fact that Ebola has destroyed the health care network in Liberia.

Maybe this bit of news will wake someone. The bars are closed in Liberia due to Ebola.

These numbers are just for those who made it to the hospital for diagnosis. I imagine we could quadruple those numbers.

Max (and everyone) you are missing a very important point...

this started at 1

then 2, then 4 and so on...

8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096

For 6 months it has repeated this doubling pattern every 21 days, and the graph trend is NOT even slowing down. It is still increasing, at an increasing rate.

in another 6 months it could be 2 Million (2,097,152)

and in another 6 months- 1 Billion (1,073,741,824).

In another 6 that’s the whole world, but way before then all essential services would be gone- no running water, gas, or electricity, or food.

So, worst case- in 6 months we will know if there is only another 6 months left to live for most everyone.

Wake me up when it reaches epic proportions. 4500 is the common cold.

I'll wake you up in January or February. By then it will be on the exponential part of the curve. It just has to kill some more of the rare medical personnel in Africa in order to completely break down the system. Then it will spread throughout the major western African cities. It's not that it's contagious but it's lethality is what makes it a nasty little bugger.

It has a reproductive number >1 so it will spread.

I'm just hoping that those that are willing to bring this in the country get to see it up close and personal. Schadenfreude would be delightful in that little occurrence.

And for every new case there is about a 50 to 1 ratio of how many OTHERS you have to watch or quarantine
