Dolphins-Patriots, 1983, I believe, score was 0-0 late in the game, terrible conditions, Patriots wound up winning 3-0, and that was when they were still bad, and the Dolphins were pretty good.

The incident is commemorated with an interactive exhibit at the Hall at Patriot Place within the Patriots' current home, Gillette Stadium. The plow itself, a John Deere Model 314 tractor with sweeper attached, hangs from the ceiling at the exhibit.[2]

LOL!.............I wonder if they have a Video Tape camera hanging there as well?...............

Runway ground incursions are not the fault of a pilot. There are 2 places for blame, the ATC or the driver, and it is always a result of poor communication between those 2.

The FAA spends $ millions to eliminate theses issues and they happen at the busiest airports as well as the smaller community ones as well.

I was on an airport project where an old timer came out of the PX and made a wrong turn and ended up driving all over the field on the taxiways, which by the way have similar markings to a regular road way. The follow up after action report revealed that the taxiway he entered on was not properly marked and or separated/delineated from the auto parking area/roadways. Fortunately no one was injured.

My apologies for not catching your sarcasm. But my point still holds for the “investigation”. The truck driver could very well have a valid reason for being thrown under the bus in this ordeal. After all who are you more likely to believe, a lowly truck driver or the more aloof ATC?

Christophe de Margerie was the CEO of TOTAL who famously said:
"There is no reason to pay for oil in dollars"

Then he dies in a collision with a snowplow.

A lot of very rich, very powerful people had excellent reasons to want him dead. At the very least we should look carefully at this apparent accident.

WWI Fighter Ace Eddie Rickenbacker went on to found Eastern Airlines. In the early days of passenger aviation, he was one of the few survivors of a crash during takeoff. electricians were stringing a power line at the airfield and strung it across the runway. The plane hit it.

I have witnessed Air force Fighter pilots that ignored the NOTAM that was posted for us to work on the runway. We had several large pieces of equipment on site and full temporary markings. Four F15’s taxied onto the runway and throttled up and proceeded to roll our sandbag markings of the runway and then took off. On the return landing these four pilot decided to fly as low over the closed portion of the runway trying to either have their way or intimidate us. It was not pretty for them when they landed and had to report immediately to their commanding officers office. It was very reminiscent of the scene from TOP Gun.

This was on a 10,000 foot runway and we were working on the north 2,000 foot end. They didn’t like it when I questioned why the Navy pilots only operated on a 8,000 foot runway and had no problem adjusting to it being shortened.

My takeaway was that the AF boys get spoiled on their nice long runways.
