Let me guess... the hospital has a lot of patients that are simply too good to even possibly risk contact with Ebola.

They probably heard that Texas Presbyterian turned into a ghost hospital after accepting an ebola patient.
After seeing what happened in Texas, I expect a lot of hospitals to do the same. Why put all you other patients and your staff at risk-not to mention the negative financial impact.
The 4 special treatment centers are really the only ones that are truly prepared to handle this disease, and at least you won’t have a bunch of potential cases flying, cruising, and visiting retail shops.
Oh yeah, the hospitals are ready for this, just like CDC said. You betcha.
I would think that is some kind of issue, turning someone away in need of medical care.........
Of course, there aren’t 3 hospitals in the country prepared to deal with a virus that requires level 4 containment, much less at a cost of 1/2 million per patient to be dumped on taxpayers or the hospitals. USAMRIID worked on development of this virus for use as a bioweapon for good reason, but they did it under level 4 containment.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
