Zehaf is an Algerian name. Likely his mother was a French speaking Algerian who married a French Canadian man. Most Quebecois are agnostic when it comes to religion so he likely decided to follow his mother’s religion as he got older.

I was wrong. His father was from Libya (although he may have originated in Algeria). This guys parents divorced in 1999. It’s not unusual in feminist-controlled Quebec for the kids to take the mother’s name, which is likely why her name “Bibeau” occurs at the end of the hyphenated name. There are now reports that the father was in Libya in 2011 fighting for the “rebels”. And we all know how friendly some of these “rebels” were, i.e. Benghazi.

Our media is of course running for cover, most refusing to call this terrorism, alleging mental illness, etc. Many of the people expressing opinions on the main stream media sites are blaming the Canadian government for having the audacity to stand up to terrorists instead of cowering in dhimmitude. Only Sun Media is giving the straight goods.
