Take a look at P.J. Gladnicks post over at Newsbusters .
The gist: Houston Mayor Annise Parkers daughter had trouble getting her driving test done to get her drivers license.
Parker, a lesbian who married her partner out of state after being elected mayor of Texas largest city, blamed the problem on the Texas Department of Public Safety and, specifically, on Texas law which does not recognize same-sex marriage. Their daughters are adopted and they also have a foster son.
Parker launched her blame game in this tweet.
Daughter needs drivers test. Has all docs, some in MomA name, some MomK, but w/ birth cert showing both. DPS says can only be from 1 mom!-A

Texas doesnt recognize same-sex marriage. I should add, yet. Despite the fact that last time SSM was put up for a vote in Texas it lost by miles, courts will impose it at some point.
So Parkers daughter had trouble getting her drivers test. An update to the original HuffPo story about this cleared up who was at fault. Hint: It wasnt the Texas DPS, and it wasnt about same-sex marriage at all.
UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. DPS Press Secretary Tom Vinger took issue with Parkers recollection of events, writing in a statement, All individuals applying for their first Texas driver license must provide a variety of documents to prove their identity, Social Security Number, U.S. citizenship or lawful presence status, and Texas residency. In this case, the adult applicant did not initially present sufficient documentation to prove residency. Once she provided the required documentation, she was able to complete the transaction. There is no indication that any delay in the process was related to same-sex marriage.
At that point, Parker clammed up and stopped commenting on the matter. Damage done the story of the mayor whose daughter got blocked over same-sex marriage had already gone nationwide.
Parker has established that she is a shameless liar just over the past couple of weeks. She subpoenaed several area pastors, specifically demanding their sermons, their internal church communications, and their personal physical appearance at the offices of a known leftwing law firm in Houston. When some of us pointed out that the sermons in question are available online, Parker appeared to back down, saying that she wasnt interested in the sermons anyway despite the fact that the original subpoenas specifically demanded that the pastors turn their sermons over.
Now Mayor Parker has lied about her daughters driving test, in order to smear Texas DPS and agitate against the states definition of marriage.
How is Mayor Parker’s name pronounced? Is it rhyme with “your nice” or Uranus?
From the article, “When some of us pointed out that the sermons in question are available online...”
That is NOT the point. The sermons are free speech according to the US constitution and Parker has no right to subpoena them. If she wants to hear them, then she should go to church.
She would burst into flame as soon as she crossed the threshold.
Works for me.
I’ll go with the latter.
Folks should mail her their church’s weekly bulletin.
Like Obama will feel after Nov. 4th.
I'm thankful that my own b.c. shows my father's name on it (man) and my mother's name too (woman) plus the fact that they were married to each other. That is as fine a start in life as one can get.
she lied???!!!!
I must have missed the sarcasm tag.
Surely you know the second law of homosexuality!?
To the mentally healthy (heterosexual), sex is something you do
To the mentally diseased ('homosexual'), sex is everything you are.
All 'homosexuals' have so called 'gay rights' as their only issue.
Why is it a surprise that a person who is mentally/emotionally disturbed - a homosexual - does wrong things? These people don’t know right from wrong.
BTTT
In NJ you have to take documentation equally 10 points to get a driver license.
I took my birth certificate, passport, permit to purchase a firearm, and my tax bill
Bump...The DMV requires everyone to do it their way.
“Lets just correct both.”
Agree. Btw, you seem a bit defensive. Guess you’re from Houston?
A liar like most queers...otherwise they would not be for runining their bodies to celebrate their sexual problems.
Houston has a lot of Blacks but they are also Christians and will be unhappy about the mayor they elected.
And to think that were some “conservatives” who voted for her.
Naw, I’m just from the South and we are a bit defensive about certain things and others we just get plain mad. But mostly we are great people!!!
On November 2nd, two days before election day, a rally to support religious liberty is planned at Grace Community Church in Houston. And just announced as a guest speaker Duck Dynastys own Phil Robertson.
