She was fired by her own family to keep her away from the company she was destroying. This does not sound like your standard layoff nor is the real truth a resume enhancer.

This was in the 1990s -- not in the recent (2009) Obama recession. And it was because her wealthy family fired her for incompetence and she went snow boarding for 3 years.

She also didn't stick with anything else for very long -- a non profit that fizzled that she ran out of her home, an abbreviated stint as Commerce Secretary during which 166,000 jobs vanished and where she squandered taxpayer money by buying land to gift to a corporation that never intended to move here.

It looks like she doesn't get along with people very well. Former employees and co-workers have complained about her all along the way.
