A journal and a diary is the same thing.
Not precisely, I don’t think. Diaries tend to be more emotional, imho.
Still, you may be proven right as this all unfolds. I know little about this criminal’s state of mind.
I guess you would know. Lewis & Clark kept a diary? :)
