Sarah Palin Facebook Statement

Thank you, wise voters! Tonight is a big victory for We the People! Credit is due to the victorious candidates. Your message to President Obama is undeniably received, though he'll try to ignore it.

Now, new Republican Congressional majority in the House and Senate, please realize that Americans were not necessarily voting FOR any party; they were voting AGAINST the continued dysfunction and corruption in D.C. We the People were saying, “enough is enough” to the scandals, crony capitalism, and utter lack of leadership in Washington.

The Democrats got mauled today, deservedly so. To prohibit that from happening to the GOP in 2016, it must learn the lesson from the last time Republicans held the Senate majority. This time they must not retreat, and it's our responsibility to hold them accountable. Will they fight for reform that aligns with the limited government planks of the Republican platform, or will they return to the big government cronyism and status quo favored by the permanent political class? Will they drain the swamp or decide the D.C. cesspool is really just a jacuzzi they can't wait to jump on into and shake us off?

If GOP leadership returns to business as usual, then this majority will be short lived, for We the People say, “once bitten, twice shy.”

So, establishment types, remember that you didn’t build this! This majority that swept you into power tonight is thanks to the rank and file commonsense conservative grassroots. That’s who built it. And they expect results. They deserve the best for America.

Thank you, SarahPAC supporters. Congratulations, USA! God, please bless our future.

- Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin be a part of the GOP going forward.

Or even of the Tea Party, if that is something different.

But please get off the sidelines. Now is the time.

I noticed SP using the word “they” several times in relation to the Republican Party.

But please get off the sidelines. Now is the time.

She's not been on the sidelines. She has been on the playing field all along take direct hits from Democrats and some Republicans and others.

Just not in a way some on FR can seem to understand.

She has the same anxiety we do.

It is totally thinkable that establishment Republicans can/may squander the mandate.

They need to know and REMEMBER how they got their victory and it was NOT strictly an establishment effort!

Earth to the GOP!!!!

Well said,

an opportunity has been presented. Will they get caught up in process and DC drama, or focus on advancing ideas and winning more voters? 2011-2012 was a pure legislative disaster by the same leadership team, so lets hope they listen to the right people and do it differently this time.

I agree in part.

But now is Sarah’s turn.

Granted she doesn’t need to announce yet, but now is the time, the real election begins to start.

It’s still very early. But ... just saying.

She alienated quite a significant portion of her supporters in 2012 when she backed out as the very last moment.

I know, she did not run. I understand all of that, I have supported Sarah since (before) McCain picked her as his running mate in 2008, and have never stopped.

However I recognize, she needs to win back the people who were starting to root for her in 2012, when she backed out.

I understand, she backed out before the campaign began. I know, she did not “quit”, but there are lot of people who were ready to support her, who felt the did.

She needs to begin reaching those people once again.

I am all for what she said. I am all for Sarah Palin as a candidate in 2016, either for President or even once again as Vice President.

But now is the time.

Sarah please stand up.

Thanks for posting this.

Remind the R's on a daily basis of what happened to the D's last night, and just whose clackers are now on the chopping block--and will be--for the NEXT TWO YEARS!

It disappointed me to the core, at first.

But I noticed the FR posters who were leading the hate charge against her and, not long after, wised up a bit.

She really does have a very full plate because she is living the Christian model of wife, mother, and planting the fields and harvesting the crops.

She does more than politics.

Cruz/Palin or Palin/Cruz. Either one works for me.

I don't know. Maybe they'll just resign halfway through their terms when the opposition comes after them and they become too distracting to push the agenda.

How many of the candidates that she endorsed were elected last night? She may be more effective on the sidelines diverting or directing fire at herself.

“It disappointed me to the core, at first.”

-

I still remember exactly where I was, what I was doing, the moment I heard she was standing down, in 2012.

I still remember that moment, just like it was earlier this morning.

All of that said, if she runs in 2016, I am (completely) on board.

It is all or nothing this time around, however. At least that is the way it appears to me.

Things should begin getting interesting, soon.
