Buck up! If Gillespie doesn’t have the stones to call for a recount, we don’t want him as our Senator. The encouraging note is how he came from so far behind to make it a horse race, down to the wire. Was the election stolen? Only if he gives it away!
I understand they are to do what I thought was called a “canvass” starting at 9 AM today and after that Gillespie will be making more comments on the recount. What is this “canvass” about.

I don’t want to be a downer, especially in view of this sweep. You’re right, it was astounding that the election was so close; everybody I knew expected Warner to waltz in.
Damn it, it kills me that just three or so blue spots on the map-—the northern craphole, Tidewater, and Richmond-—can screw up an otherwise red state.
