Arizonans Just Elected Ice Cream Man Doug Ducey Governor

Former ice cream man Doug Ducey scooped up a sweet win today in the Arizona gubernatorial race.

The Republican and former CEO of ice cream chain Cold Stone Creamery most recently served as Arizona's state treasurer, however it was his cool past that Ducey frequently invoked on the campaign trail.

In the heat of the Arizona summer, he handed out mini containers of Cold Stone ice cream outside his campaign office, according to the Arizona Republic.

On Ducey's website, he listed "ice cream" as the No. 3 reason to vote for him, writing:

"The experience Doug gained as Cold Stone Creamery CEO will help him succeed as Arizona’s next governor."

This one was especially sweet because Gabby Giffords and her space cowboy husband had made it their main mission to defeat Ducey because he didn't support her gun control agenda.

Glad to see this guy won.  And my isn't it interesting how the Left attacks people for actually working?

I guess we can expect to see him referred to as Govenor Ice Cream for the next four years.

And, although not well advertised, Ducey’s opponent Fred DuVal does support gun-control.

It wasn’t until the last week of October that I heard anyone say that DuVal had been a member of Clinton’s White House.

Coldstone ice cream has got to be one of the most inane ideas someone ever came up with. The fact that it has been successful is more a commentary on the general idiocy of the American population.

Still it's good that Republicans can still win in Arizona.

You must be getting the wrong kind of ice cream when you go in.

I personally love the Strawberry Blonde that they offer.

Strawberry Ice Cream with Graham Cracker Pie Crust, Strawberries, Caramel and Whipped Topping.

And I don’t really like strawberries.

Maybe you should come to Savannah and try going to Leopold’s. Their ice cream is even better.
