More to the point, their pilots don’t actually *have* to be very good. Air combat mostly isn’t about dogfighting with guns any more, its about who has better missiles, who launches first, and who has more of them.
With that in mind, the Chinese pilots only have to be good enough to be able to close to missile range, get a lock, and ripple fire every missile on or in the airframe. If they have 100 of them and we only have 20, well....
