It is broken. For starters we don’t select immigrants based upon their usefulness to us, for the most part. We don’t limit it to those that actually want to become Americans. To a large extent, we select in the reverse manner.

I agree we don't have a merit based system---only about 12% of immigrants are brought in because they have needed skills, but to call the system broken is an exaggeration, which is used by the Left and the RINOs to justify increased immigration and larger guest worker programs. They want to make it easier to come into this country.

Comprehensive immigration reform has come to mean amnesty and increased numbers. The biggest problem with our immigration system is that we bring in far too many legal immigrants. And we don't enforce our existing immigration laws.

Yeah, it was bad. I had forgotten how many untruths he can cram into a single utterance. His sentences are like ICMB's of mendacity. You hear one obvious falsehood, but when you unpack it, 3 or 4 more falsehoods fly out at you. You're so overwhelmed with the blatant lying that you're shocked into silence. I was reminded why I simply can't watch or listen to the man. It's hard to tell whether he is out of touch, or whether he was just "gaslighting" everyone.

Obama simply wants to remain center stage....he’s going to say whatever is necessary to appear he’s interested when in fact he’s just looking to remain the focus himself.

Remember he chose to announce his meeting with the new Congress right in the heat of the election...why then?....because he wasn’t directly in the loop other than to stop him. So he was showing he was still ‘the man”.

He also stated at a dinner.... that he had had a message to immigration activists...” no force on earth can stop us.... ...... America isn’t Congress.... America isn’t Washington. America is the striving immigrant”.
