I was happy to see that Zeldin not only beat Tim Bishop, but trounced him by 10% (a larger margin than Democrat Steve Israel got in the adjoining district. It’s too bad that Mark Greenberg fell short in the CT-05, or we’d have two Jewish Republicans in the House. Another lost opportunity was in TX-36, where Ben Streusand (who is Jewish) lost the GOP run-off to Brian Babin in the safely Republican district.

I let out a spontaneous war whoop when I heard. I never forgot the look of contemptuous hate Bishop allowed on his face in the presence of cameras no less just because constituents came down to let him know how they felt.
Isreal has unsurprisingly quit as DCCC chair. It would have been SO SWEET if he had lost.
