It made my head hurt just reading the first few paragraphs. I was going to comment directly on the piece too, but dang ....”legit authority?”
We don’t have a ‘kingdom’...we have a republic.
A voting holiday? Because having a whole month to vote is not enough for the donkeys.
They rely upon legalisms.
The midterms are not a national election. They are 52 separate elections for the purpose of choosing representatives to Congress. General elections are also held separately, but they are held for a national leadership, as well as for that year’s election of the Congress.
It is a distinction without a difference.
This midterm was nationalized and the issue was the President, his administration and his Party. Those all lost in the midterm by a wider majority than they *won* in the General of 2012.
The article is specious. Losers grasp at straws. Really, they lost despite overt and reported attempts at fraud. Some of the targeted elections may even have had wider majorities. Certainly, the 2012 General Election was rife with fraud unreported at the time. so their “national majority” is likely narrower or did not ever exist.
“And the president is committed to preventing an insurance death spiral or broken exchanges that could result from a full attack on the law. Whose authority is more legitimate?....”
Uh, the Congress that gets elected to WRITE laws the President is supposed to ENFORCE.
I’ll agree with your assessment. Regional contests that became nationalized because of the inexperienced petulant boy we call a President.
It is true Obama energized the youth vote... he also was young and new. If the left’s only hope is Hillary... she does nothing to excite young voters. 2016 may well be another adult voting cycle, just as 2014 was.
Unless... our nominee is actually someone who appeals to younger voters.
You have to realize one thing: you’re talking about a raving moonbat here. Since the current POTUS is also a raving moonbat, the President somehow has more legitimacy than the Congress. Down the road, should we get a sane, republican POTUS along with a raving moonbat controlled Congress, it will be the Congress that has more legitimacy. See how that works?
