What the Democrats are trying to accomplish:
1. Associate the Republicans with big money in the lo-fo public mind in order to build support for
2. Outlawing the right of ordinary citizens and businesses to spend money in politics so that (a) only government may finance political campaigns (the self-perpetuating progressive bureaucracy) and (b) only the voice of the MSM may legally shape the political field.
Don’t forget the third and perhaps biggest goal:
3. To extort money for progressive (neo-fascist) political causes out of other and future billionaires with the promise that they will be left in peace if they give enough. In other words, its the Chicago way of doing politics (think Al Capone): “Pay us, and you won’t have union troubles or unexplained fires.” Buffett, Gates, Soros, Steyer, Blumberg, and many others have been playing this game with progressives for a long time. For them it is simply like buying insurance.
