It’s a HOUSE Committee. All members of the House are up for election every two years.
I prefer to keep those and the really bad jobs plus those inbetween for U.S. citizens...Legal ones...
Um, obviously...but there were plenty of House races this cycle.
I just didn’t want to take the time to look up the status on each one of them. Don’t know how many were up for re-election.
If any.
But be assured...I didn’t mix them up with the Senate races.
This is pretty outrageous. Age discrimination in IT is well known and I know several (competent) older professionals who can’t find jobs. A big reason is the flood of labor from Asia—many of whom don’t know squat, but they work cheap.
It depresses the salaries of American workers. If they did not have an ever increasing supply of foreign labor, why Google stock would not be $800 per share and the commies that run that company could not be billionaires and give millions to politicians.
Screw all of them.
Shall we try this again? EVERY SINGLE CONGRESSMAN is up for reelection every 2 years. ALL of them.
In 2014 there were 435 Congressional races, plus elections for the Delegates from DC, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, N. Mariana Islands, and Guam.
They’re not subject to the minimum wage laws? I heard that differently- that the offshore workers were paid that way over there.
Yes, they were supposed to pay them at least minimum wage. From what I read, they were hi tech workers who would have been paid much more than that if they were Americans. Someone finally complained and the company was forced to pay about $42,000 in back wages.

Yes, most members of Congress seem to be highly motivated by campaign contributions coming from the high tech industry and the hack studies being payrolled by them. For example, this analysis looks at the oft-repeated claim from one of these studies that "every additional 100 foreign-born workers who earned an advanced degree in the United States and then worked in STEM fields led to an additional 262 jobs for US natives". The following graph shows the data on which this claim appears to be based:
To the untrained eye, this is just two random clouds of data. But to the trained eye, this is proof that each foreign STEM worker with an advanced degree create 2.62 jobs! You can see further analysis at http://econdataus.com/amjobs.htm.
