I think he has, yes.
I enjoy his commentary, his humor, and—might as well admit it—I appreciate the fact that he likes my Carolina quarterback, Cam Newton (”whoa, Cam”). So I guess I’m biased.
I have an issue with Cam. He has great athletic ability no doubt. But I don’t dig the whole Superman thing he does. You don’t see this stuff out of great players. Brady, the Mannings, Breeze. Football is a team game and the QB is really only as good as the guy’s up front protecting them.
I think Cam when he scores should be smacking the Guards and Tackles on their butts, not puffing out his chest.
Guy’s like john Riggins never had to emphasize to the crowd or the press how great they were.
I think a little more humility would go a long way for Cam. Nothing says “ greatness “ like winning. Cam needs to concentrate on the team winning.
