An offer by congressional Republicans to work on immigration reform in January was flatly rejected by President Barack Obama, reports said Friday.
At a post-midterm election lunch and meeting that lasted two hours, House Speaker John Boehner warned Obama not to take executive action to stem deportations or allow a flood of new immigrants to enter the country, the Washington Examiner reports.
Instead, Boehner asked Obama to let Republicans work on reforming and modernizing immigration early in the new session, Wyoming Republican Sen. John Barrasso told Reuters.

Republicans MUST throw this bastard out of the Speakership.
If we see the same old sh## we need to press them hard on dumping this bastard. We now have the opportunity to stop the a##clown dead in his tracks on his change for America
EXEMPT enablers Boehner and McConnell
must leave their roles, allowing others
to represent the PEOPLE,
and not the Chinese and DNC.
King Obama is engaging in pschological warfare with the new congress before they even take office and go into session.
He wants to issue his proclamation before January so he is the one setting the agenda and defining the baseline.
The constitutional separation of powers and responsibilities means nothing to him.
He sees it as just a list of Old White Men’s Rules waiting to be broken by a new world visionary like him.
Why isn't he out there educating the American people, especially those who didn't vote, that Obola has no Constiutional authority to make law.
His job is to carry out the laws Congress passes.
Or calling Obama’s bluff. The GOP could announce tomorrow that it is passing reform and Obama would still proceed with his plans. But is not in his DNA to do anything but be a little dictator. Fine, gives the GOP the edge as this is an unpopular move by Ibama which will destroy his party.
Republicans will have no credibility or chance of success unless they get rid of their current leaders, Heckle and Jeckle. New leadership would show that the party is serious about getting results over the next two years. Time for endless talk and appeasement is over; we need action and results.
If we see??? We ARE seeing it!
And only a few days after the elections!
Boehner wasted NO TIME in advancing Obama’s agenda... AGAIN.
Boehner should take the issue completely off the table. Pass spending bills that reign in Fedzilla and dare Obama to veto them.
"Why isn't he (Boehner) out there educating the American people, especially those who didn't vote, that under "the People's" Constitution, a President (not even Obama) has Constitutional authority to "make law"?
This is the question to which every newly-elected and/or "conservative" Republican should be dedicating their primary energy!
"Educating" all citizens in the meaning and purpose of "the People's" Constitution's provisions and requirement for dividing, separating the powers, and checking and balancing those powers in order to curb coercive intrusions into the rights of individuals and states was and is essential to liberty and freedom for present and future generations.
"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorantthey have been cheated; asleepthey have been surprised; dividedthe yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? ... the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government, they should watch over it ... It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free."
Go on offense, dammit.
The ONLY reform to immigration should be to put immigration BACK like it was 100 years ago...
BY THEIR OWN CHOICE All either the kids or the parents have to do is go back over the Border(can likely get the trip for nothing) and reunite with the rest of the family.
What a load. Give Me a Break!!!
Boehner willingly is caving into this blackmail. “Immmigration reform” is being pushed by the corporate paymasters who want more cheap labor to take American jobs and depress wages even further. If we have a shortage of labor, wages would be going up, not down.
Amen. Great post. Love it.
Great collage.
I second that.
