Ironically, I think they are right. The capstone in his efforts to destroy our industrial base, to the benefit of our enemies (which are not his).

It requires no congressional approval because it doesn’t actually mean anything.

So if I get this right, Obama's legacy is the weather?

Not bad for $16,000,000,000,000. Although the weather app is for free on my cell phone.

What win? It was unilateral at best. We cut emissions. They keep on as they have.

Since China isn’t going to do much, how is cutting our energy consumption by 30% going to help the US economy? Oh, sure, there may be efficiencies to be had, and its true that CO2 isn’t an exact proxy for energy consumption (there’s wind, after all), but basically Obama is saying he’s going to cut the economy by roughly 25% to please the green crowd, and do it despite Congress.

I guess his plan is to just make energy hideously expensive (he can’t ration it). That won’t have any adverse consequences, right?

PS—whichever leftist nut the Dems run in 2016—Hillary or Lizzie, or whomever—will have to support this as his legacy, or try running against Obama, who is from their own party.

What an idiot he is...or he thinks we are idiots to believe this is some great deal.

If I was China I’d agree to it too: I can keep increasing my emissions until 2030? For free? It required nothing from me to do so? Why the heck Wouldn’t I sign? Meanwhile, Odumber offers to handicap my[China] greatest rival[the US] with stupid economy stifling rules!

Its a win win for China...and a lose lose for the US.

Way to go Zero. Ya dumb f**k.

Obozo will be gone in two years, hopefully less. He has zero influence on the next president to carry through on his pledge to wreak havoc on the U.S. economy with his grandiose pledge to cut greenhouse gases by 28%, when we are the only nation to have cut them so far, and China has only nodded and grinned watching him destroy our manufacturing base.

Why don’t you wish with one hand, Chuck, as you and the rest of the beltway boys fantasize about your hero.

But you’ll have to take a dump in the other.

And we’ll see which hand gets full first.

Its my understanding that China doesn’t “Cut” anything “drastically by 2030”, only “peak” in 2030.

The US, however would have to cut drastically to 2005 levels.

Based on current growth rate, by 2030, CO2 output from China will be 2X or 3X US output.

Worst. Legacy. Ever.

Thank you for referencing that article Bettyprob. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

As mentioned in related threads, the MAJOR constitutional problem with federal climate control is that the states have never amended the Constitution to grant the feds the power to deal with climate control issues.

So in the absence of express constitutional authority to deal with climate issues, lawless Obama is wrongly trying to use his constitutional power to negotiate treaties as a back door to force federal climate control on the states. The problem is that using treaty power to unconstitutonally expand federal government powers has already been condemned by both Thomas Jefferson and the Supreme Court as evidenced by the following excerpts.

Not surprising that Chuck Toady didn’t explain that China had to basically not change their behavior at all. They can keep increasing their coal fired plant emissions while we will bring ours offline.

Sounds like Obama’s idea of “success”.

"United States and China announced they had “negotiated a sweeping agreement to cut emissions drastically by 2030..."

America for her size is among those countries with the cleanest air....China on the other hand for her size is wayyyyy behind the rest of the world. Wonder how badly BHO was out smarted by the little slant eyes......again.

Good Deal! Close clean US coal plants and crank out dirty Chinese coal plants.

Pure evil in our face with NBC acting as chief accomplice. Certainly the higher power bills will delight the public.
