If Obama provokes a Constitutional crisis he could precipitate calls for a Constitutional Convention. After the last election, a large majority of the Statehouses and state legislatures are going to be dominated by Republicans. They will decide who their delegates to the convention will be and control ratification of any proposed amendments. They can tear Obama a new one.
