The Dems will not turn on Obama.
They want amnesty to get more Dem votes. It is the future of their party. Of course, it will continue to bankrupt the country, but that is not an issue.
It is not an issue because the biggest problem with all the spending - nobody feels or sees the National Debt and won’t - until it is too late. $17.5 Trillion is just a concept; a number. No one feels it.
But, when rates rise and we can no longer borrow with abandon, we will probably have a GOP President who will have to make real choices to cut expected services. We lose either way and the Dems know this. It works for them.
Well, if the current massive unemployment, high inflation and coming higher insurance premiums and even higher coming energy costs don’t wake people up nothing will.
