No one asked, but to follow up on that post, here is a reminder that this Russia is not what people seem to think it is, with it's somewhat backwards and small Army that is thought to be as small as 250,000 men, a weak Navy and Air force, they do not have the forces, the depth, the logistics, or the geography to launch a major war against NATO, and they are threatened internally and from the East, they cannot afford to get into a major conflict elsewhere, they cannot meet NATO head to head, there forces would be quickly destroyed and Russia laid bare to internal and border hostiles with no money to rebuild their largely paper strength.
The real question is whether the Euros would defend themselves without American backing? Or, would they want American backing with the current joke of a CinC in place that we have? Who in their right mind is inspired by Obozo’s dynamic leadership?
