Of the eight U.S. states that have contracted with Gruber to get access to his computer model – Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin – four of them have published contracts worth about $400,000 each.
If the other four followed suit, that would amount to another $1.6 million. Some of those fees were shared with other researchers who co-authored his reports.
All eight used his services to help estimate insurance marketplace costs related to their state-based Obamacare programs.
As far as states went he charged them $400,000 to see a mathematical model of public health care he developed. Eight states at $400,000 each......he only did the modeling once
In any case, the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010 has been lucrative for Gruber and his microsimulation model. All told, he has been hired by at least eight states to provide advice or assist in creating the health-insurance exchanges that are at the heart of the Affordable Care Act: Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Some are con men. Some believe in what they are doing. Based on Gruber's own words, Gruber appears to believe in government run health care. He appears to believe in fooling the voting public so that they could redistribute wealth to fund their government run healthcare system.
I have a beef with all of them.

Remember—there are no accidents in politics. Were the Gruber videos really uncovered, as reported, by a citizen-journalist who lost his health insurance? If so, why hasn’t he explained how he uncovered them? It’s his business, of course, but inquiring minds want to know. Who is he and what if any connections has he politically? Has he been threatened, or did he just buy a new yacht?
If the source is not this citizen-journalist, or there is more than one source, some serious detective work is in order. Who stands to gain by these revelations? Who captured the original videos? And why would anyone post such damning footage?
Inquiring minds wanna know.

I wouldn’t care if it was private sector, but this was used as a template to screw us all, and our idiot Dem Congresscritters voted it in, even if almost none of them understood it.
However, because it was the public sector, purchased in my name (however indirectly), I’m pissed, and would like to see it explored. Double on that because Gruber was braggingly honest about aspects of the dishonesty in the bill.

Your math might not work. You multiplied his earnings by 1000 times. The article said 5.9 million, you rounded off to 6 billion.
The Gruber Microsimulation Model is real “science.” It will go down in history with the Orgone Energy Accumulator, also a product of “science.” Goober collected millions, but he was not greedy. Only capitalists can be greedy.

Amnesty: I heard that MIT Professor Gruber helped President Obama with Obama's upcoming executive order concerning immigration.
Grubers bragging was prompted by selling the same $400,000 micro simulation model to 8 state governments and the Feds.
What a score! There must have been some minimal tweaking each time he sold it to say a Wyoming. But not much.
Its like a used car salesman being legally able to sell the same beat up car to 9 people. He would be bragging to his used automobile cronies
