I don’t care HOW badly he was, or wasn’t injured! That’s not the issue. The fact is, he WAS injured and he was also bum rushed by the same thug. You DON’T push a police officer into his car, assault him, and try to take his gun. You don’t do any ONE of those things, let alone all of them!
The idea seems to be that you have to be at death’s door before you defend yourself.
