Hard to establish a definitive answer to whether there is a genetic component to homosexuality. If it is ever proven to be true, it sure will be interesting to watch resulting chaos.

One thing we do know is that not all of homosexuality is caused by those around them, growing up.

I have known two individuals who by the age of 3 behaved in a manner that made me believe they would be homosexuals. Both are.

It isn’t a choice/ Too many parents see it in very young children.

People should look into the number of gay men who grew up without a father or father figure in the home. Nurture is a very strong factor, especially in gay men. Most are very close to their mothers even if there is a father in the home.

it doesn’t make sense because only genes that contribute to the survival of a species would arise.

It means they are looking for an excuse. But nothing will prove that it is normal because clearly their biology is heterosexual regardless of how they end up seeking an orgasm. (And yes I HATE having to even go there.)

I want to see a study of men who were raised without a father. My guess is the percentage of those who live the gay lifestyle is higher than the “average.” And then I’d like to see the same study of people who participate in the gay lifestyle and what percentage were raised without a father. The two studies will no doubt show a similar result.

Yes, but nurturing is immediate. I also believe that many gay men were abused by older males when they were very young. Remember ‘in before 8 or it’s too late’ supposedly came from NAMBLA (North American Man-Boy Love Association)

It’s a learned behavior, and young children do not know any better, nor do they have the facilities or information to make a proper judgment on the behavior.

Anyone take the time to learn where the study came from? “Behavioral genetics at NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute in Evanston, Illinois.”

Wow, right up there with MIT. No matter — if a study is pro-gay and comes from Lackawanna Junior College, it’ll get the royal treatment from AP.

It is a learned behavior and many schools are teaching gay sex to the very young ‘to be fair in teaching all areas of sex’. Frankly, young children have no idea about sex and should be shielded from all discussion until they are mature enough to handle it. Sexualizing young children should be criminal and abusers and teachers should be held accountable. But I would bet it actually is part of the Common Core Curriculum.

This would be valid only if they find that identical twins have a very high incidence of both being gay - and they have not found that, to my understanding.

Homosexual men overwhelmingly self-report being raped/molested by older men.

They oftentimes couch their abuse in other terms, like saying they were "seduced", in order to romanticize the event and make it more palatable.

Never will you hear a homosexual say that his molestation/rape was a bad thing, because that runs contrary to their agenda.

Homosexual men are MADE, not BORN.

If there’s a gene for homosexuality and lesbianism then what will the liberal queers think when heterosexual couples abort their babies for testing positive for those markers?

If they are brothers, the odds are higher that they’ve shared experiences.

It I far more likely that it is hormonally related than genetically. I’ve read that the chances of homosexuality can be increased if the woman suffers a lot stress during the pregnancy.

Sound like that play/movie “Twilight of the Golds” that explored what would happen if they ever came up with a genetic test that would determine if a male fetus was pre-destined to be gay.
