I’ve sat on superior court juries twice. Both were very technical cases. One involved a LOT of handcrafted art work depicting the inside of a specific person’s head.
Both of these cases lasted 4 weeks each. Why is this grand jury, which is simply trying to decide if it should go to trial at all, taking three months?
fear! we’re not the only people that know thats its damned if we do damned if we dont......
A grand jury serves a 3 month term, they may hear may cases in that time.
Maybe it was decided a month ago and it just hadn’t been released yet?

Waiting for the weather to turn cold so it is less conducive to rioting and looting?

Easy answer.
Those jurors reached a decision after the first week or two. Authorities have kept the verdict on ice for as long as possible so that the natives will chillax.
I would be surprised if the decision is released now. Wait till next week and the ferals will be too busy with Turkey Day plans.
Because the fate and determination of the ultimate possession of perhaps thousands of flat screen TVs (and other merchandise) hang in the balance. Al Sharlaton would have it no other way.
“Why is this grand jury, which is simply trying to decide if it should go to trial at all, taking three months?”.
Like you having sat on several juries, I suspect that the “judge” is dragging this out as long as possible in order to wear the grand jury people down to the point they will “pass the buck” (recommend charges) to a real jury to avoid having to face the wrath of the protesters at some future date. (I hope I am WRONG in stating that and the GJ will NOT recommend ANY charges”. Time will tell.
