Netanyahu Wants to Discriminate Against Terrorists-doesn't “democracy” mean rights for everyone?

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is backing a bill to be submitted by outgoing Communications Minister Gilad Erdan to cancel social security and other benefits for terrorists and “those who identify” with terrorism.

The Prime Minister already is getting flak from the United States for the “Jewish State bill,” which the U.S. State Dept. did not directly oppose but about which he noted to reporters on Monday, “We expect Israel to stick to its democratic principles.”

Indirectly reacting to the remark, Prime Minister Netanyahu said on Tuesday there is no contradiction between defining Israel as a Jewish state and a democratic state.

Israel is faced with Fifth Column terrorism, and the government recently re-instituted the policy of destroying terrorists’ homes, assuming the Supreme Court dos not get in the way by deciding that doing so would deprive terrorists of their basic rights”

The United States last week condemned the practice in Israel, but said it is perfectly okay for Egypt to destroy hundreds of homes of Arabs in Sinai to create buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt.

That is a matter of “self-defense,” said U.S. State Dept. spokeswoman Jen Psaki, as reported here.

Destroying a home of a terrorist in eastern Jerusalem is different, she explained, because it involves borders that the United States does not agree with.

We are waiting to see if the State Dept. wants to stick its nose deeper into Israel’s domestic polices, but it is worth nothing that a Democratic party Congresswoman from New York last month said he will introduce a bill to stop Social Security payments to former Nazis.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney said, “It’s deeply disturbing and I’m deeply disturbed that these individuals continue to receive Social Security benefits even after the Justice Department identified them as Nazi war criminals,” speaking with Business Insider.

“If you’re a Nazi war criminal, you’re a Nazi war criminal. You should not be receiving Social Security benefits. Period,” she added.

And what about terrorists?

“I’ll look at cutting off benefits to terrorists that are deported,” she added.

I’d say terrorists don’t get PC protection status when they blow people up, lop their heads off, rape women, enslave people, hang children on the sides of buildings or lock them in houses sthat they know will be targeted so they can go on the news media and say look hiw evil Israel is, desecrate sacred sites, etc...

Enemies do NOT get to vote. Enemies get to be dead.

Concerning the article...

No. Democracy means that two wolves and one lamb are discussing what to have for lunch. The outcome is predictable.

BTW, the United States is NOT a democracy. We are a Federal Republic.

Makes sense to me. God doesn’t want people in heaven if they don’t agree to His policies. Jesus said much the same before He went to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Luke 19:11-27

vs 27 “But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.”

We cannot slay them except if under the law and He will also. The day He does that promise of peace on earth will be granted. Maranatha!

Democratic principles to which State refers:

1. All assertions of national sovereignty and will are undemocratic, and must not be done.
2. Let barbarian hordes trample you into the ground. It’s the will of the people.
3. Everyone has rights, except you.
4. Self-preservation and national identity are inherently racist.
5. Two states for two peoples does not apply to anyone except those that State says that it does. Thus, Palestinians need a state of their own. Kurds do not.
6. Being called an oppressor by someone carrying a protest sign is proof that you are an oppressor.
7. If someone commits heinous violent acts against your citizens, it proves that you are guilty of something. For the particulars, ask those that incited the perpetrators.
8. You are wrong. Totally, absolutely wrong about everything. Now apologize immediately.
9. Learn a new language. You will need one.
10. Surrender, Dorothy, or else.

No need for him to take another junket just to go to hell. He’s bringing it to him, at no extra charge.
