“I thought it was a pretty good speech, except for the facts,” Jay Ting, a law professor at Temple said last Friday in remarks at the Heritage Foundation. ..........There have been a lot of good speeches made over the years, & could be a lot more as long as they don’t have to depend on facts. Guess Obama was counting on no one doing their homework.

I love quoting myself:

Obama’s declaration of legalization is nothing more than a signal to third worlders to advance across the border en masse.

Obama is loading the gun by which he will shoot America in the belly.

My husband was a legal resident (Canada) with a green card, and his Naturalization process was very uncomplicated.

However, we had neighbors who were German and bought the house next to ours. They moved to the States because their children were here. One child had married an American and was able to be Naturalized. The other child had been here on work visas and was trying to obtain a Green Card. He owned property, paid taxes, but after trying for many years had still been denied.

Our neighbor’s plight astounded me. The gentleman was a successful businessman in Germany. He bought the home for cash but was only allowed to spend so many months a year in the States, so he came and went from Germany a couple times a year.

He did not speak English when he arrived (he was in his late 50’s) so he enrolled in English classes at the local college and became quite fluent. But after being granted visas for each trip to the US...the government decided that he would not be allowed to get anymore visas. He was confused and hired an immigration lawyer, but has not won his case, to date.

He paid property taxes, was no drain on any American welfare, and yet they have and continue to deny him visas.
It just makes no sense. He was baffled especially in light of the folks that do it illegally and reside in the States for years. Try to do it the right way? Well, no good deed goes unpunished, I guess.

Go ahead Bonehead and Turtlehead, allow this to happen and the demise of the Gelding Old Party will be on you - both of you.

As far as the illegals paying taxes, everyone knows low income jobs don’t pay taxes...it all gets send back to them at the end of the year when they file. And if these folks are allowed to take deductions such as EIC...they’ll be getting a check from Uncle Sam as well.
