Long before Rush it was a cliché “everything is political with Democrats”. No sleight to Rush intended. He’s a bearer of truths.

Facts be damned if they don’t support your politics. Old lawyer saying: "If the facts are on your side, pound the facts. If the law is on your side, pound the law. If neither the facts nor the law are on your side, pound the table."
Lots of table-pounding by the usual suspects, IMO.
