Know what you mean...it does get tiring.
On my ‘Safeway’ discount card(?) I wrote NO DONATIONS on it.
I usually just shake my head at ‘the Dollar Store’ but I did tell one clerk ‘That I thought may ‘understand’ the words’..
“Seriously if I could afford to back every project like that I wouldn’t be shopping here”.
(I like the Salvation Army) but I will not put into the pot EVERYTIME I see one, ..other day walking into Walmart and the guy ‘solicited’ me (I think I ‘know’ him) and I told him to catch me on the way out. On the way out, I told him - “Sorry you should have got me on the way in, when I had some money”...
At least the VFW and LEGION give you a poppy for your donation so you don’t feel ‘guilty’ when you pass by ten other guys.
(NO fair using that poppy you got 10 years ago)....
